Katy, TX, July 15, 2026: Intrepid Logic LLC today announced that Aevus, its predictive operational intelligence platform for industrial SCADA networks, has been nominated for the 2026 UX Design Awards in the Product category. The nomination was awarded by the international expert jury of the UX Design Awards, organized by the Internationales Design Zentrum Berlin (IDZ).
The UX Design Awards are among the world's leading international competitions for user experience design. The Autumn 2026 edition received over 500 submissions from 46 countries. Nomination represents the first award level, a recognition by the jury that the submission demonstrates outstanding quality in user experience design. Aevus is now eligible for the next competition level, competing for the jury's Winner titles and the Public Choice Award through a global online vote.
"We built Aevus for operators who can't afford guesswork: people running compressor stations, pipeline networks, and critical infrastructure at two in the morning. This nomination validates that the experience we designed for them meets an international standard of excellence."
David Spencer, Co-Founder & CIO, Intrepid Logic LLCThe intelligence layer above SCADA
Aevus unifies fragmented field protocols (radio telemetry, PLCs, historians, and alarm systems) into a single operator view. It predicts equipment failures from live edge telemetry and surfaces remediation through an ISA-101-aligned interface designed for the operators who actually run the infrastructure.
What sets Aevus apart is its safety architecture. A structural interlock called IL-9000 prevents the AI from issuing commands to operational technology. The boundary between recommendation and control is an architectural fact enforced above the account Aevus runs in, not a feature toggle a person can override. The operator always decides. The boundary always holds.
Design recognition for critical infrastructure
Industrial software has historically been designed for the system, not the human. Alarm floods, cryptic HMI screens, and fragmented data views are the norm, not because operators prefer them, but because no one prioritized the experience. Aevus was designed from the ground up with the operator at the center: ISA-101-aligned situational awareness, predictive intelligence surfaced as clear advisories, and explainable AI that shows its reasoning rather than hiding behind a confidence score.
This nomination by the UX Design Awards jury (a body that evaluates entries against criteria including innovation, user-centeredness, impact, and feasibility) recognizes that industrial AI can meet the same design standard as consumer products.
Public Choice Award
Aevus is eligible for the UX Design Award | Public Choice title through a global online vote. If you believe critical infrastructure deserves world-class user experience design, you can cast your vote on the official awards page.
